Here's what we accomplished: ➡️ We removed a wall between the kitchen and dining room, opening up the space to create the perfect environment for family gatherings and baking fun. ➡️ An addition to the back of the home allowed us to design a spacious, open kitchen that's now the heart of the house. ➡️ The formal living room has been transformed into a beautiful dining room with a special touch – custom-built bookshelves. The primary bathroom at our remodel project needed an upgrade. Accent walls are a great way to breathe new life into an outdated space. The tile backsplash creates a beautiful focal point and ties in well with the new vanity provided by @driftlesskitchens. The new mirror, stunning sconces, and black fixtures create a modern updated look. We also added a sliding door to the bathroom to save on the space a traditional door requires to open and close, which made the overall space feel larger and more open. The family room at our project house was definitely ready for a refresh. Also, let’s face it, fireplaces are a must have for those cold Wisconsin winter nights. We wanted this original stone fireplace to remain the perfect focus for this family room. By removing the old paneling and carpeting, and installing new insulation, drywall, carpeting, and recessed lighting, this room is now bright, inviting, and extra cozy. These fresh and new updates brought out all of the natural beauty of this fireplace. Of course, there isn’t really anything my dad and F.I.L can’t do, so they were a huge help in this space as well. Inspired Design Team just finished up another Bathroom remodel! Our clients wanted a fresh and coastal feeling for their primary bathroom. They happen to love blue tones, so this beautiful blue tile balanced with crisp and clean whites was the perfect fit. We painted the existing cabinets, upgraded to quartz countertops, changed out the hardware, and replaced all of the plumbing and lighting fixtures. We also improved the function of their primary bathroom by removing the bathtub that wasn't being used and replaced it with custom drawers and shelving for added storage. Sourcing materials and accessories is a fundamental aspect of interior design. But sometimes simple and natural are the solutions of the day. Take this article from @architecturaldigest, for example. I love how they explain the history of plants and the influence on design. No matter what the style of plant or current design trend, the continuous goal over time has been bringing the outside in. We strive for this balance in life, and a simple plant in our home can provide us with physical and emotional benefits. My clients absolutely loved this beautiful canal house for its location in the Florida Keys—but the inside was a different story. They were looking for a coastal feel with just a touch of Miami, so "coastal," "sleek," and "modern" were the design cues. Every room in this house has been updated. There were 2 primary bedrooms, 2 primary baths, 2 additional baths, a kitchenette, 2 living rooms, 1 laundry room, 2 other bedrooms and an office. All of these spaces have been updated. @tsquared.designs worked with us to create the custom layout and supply these beautiful cabinets @crystalcabinets. Our contractor, Milestone Inc., made it all happen. We are grateful to have such a great collaboration! This project connects to my passion for travel because I LOVE visiting the Keys. We have been working on a great remodel project, including full furnishings and decor for the house. Our clients are moving their family here soon from out of state and we received the difficult news yesterday that their couches wouldn’t be arriving in time as we expected. The thought of our clients not having a couch to relax on after their long travels and with the holidays coming soon was not an option. My husband, without even a second thought, hooked up the trailer and joined me in a search for new and temporary furniture on a snowy winter night. I am so grateful for the love and support of my husband. He is often finding ways to improvise, adapt, and overcome in so many areas of life. I am also forever grateful for my TEAM. Our goal from the beginning of this project has been for our clients to arrive at their new house and to feel at home from the moment they walk through the door.
